Really sad right now, I was just scrolling through the MCAD tag on here when I came across some posts, one says “Got accepted to MCAD with $48,000 in scholarships from the school!” The other is like, “Got a $40,000 scholarship from MCAD over 4 years”

You want to know what I got for scholarships?

Zero. Zip. Nothing.

I am paying my way full through this school, my portfolio got no scholarships, and I actually had somewhat of a hard time getting accepted to this school.

Seriously… Do I even belong here… I don’t think this school wants me.

talimgold said: It’s never too late to look for scholarships while in college. Your images are lovely, and you have a lot of knowledge in your field. Just remember, scholarships don’t mean shit when it comes to respect, only hard work does.
systematicallyspasmodic said: $40k isn’t that much actually, for the total 4 years. A lot of that might be financial aid too. Don’t be too upset, portfolios are so subjective that it’s kind of a toss in the air. But your’e here: prove to them you deserve to be~ and get grants xD
flyawaydog said: You can also get scholarships outside of MCAD, and the school will double the $ amount, so even if you get ‘small’ scholarships like $500, it will be $1000 for you!
